In Kyrgyzstan the majority of cars are left-hand drive. Please note that right-hand drive cars are allowed so you can see them as well.
The most popular public transport in Bishkek is marshrutka - minibus, brand - Mercedes Sprinter. One-time travel costs 10 som (1 USD ~ 69,5 som).
There are also buses of Yutong brand. One-time travel costs 8 som.
Besides that there is a small number of trolleybuses. One-time travel costs 8 som.
Concerning taxis there are many companies providing taxi services. Average rate is 100-130 som in the city, +50-100 som if you have to get somewhere out the city.
You can also see a lot of private taxi drivers offering their services along the streets. Their prices are normally higher than "official" taxis.
If you want to rent a car for self-drive on tour in Kyrgyzstan, you can write an e-mail to us. If you want to travel around Kyrgyzstan, outside the capital, it is better to take 4x4 car because in mountainous areas the roads are often dirt and bumpy.
