The national language of Kyrgyzstan belongs to the family of Turkic languages. Turkic Runic script, or the first alphabet of Orhon-Yenisey script, was used by the people, and then the people turned to Arabic Alphabet in connection with religion Islam. The Kyrgyz and Arabic peoples of the former Soviet Union, adopted Latin alphabet in 1927, then the Cyrillic alphabet replaced it, but adding some new non-existing in Russian sounds. Being in a tour you have a choice to speak, as there are Russian and Kyrgyz. Nowadays Cyrillic alphabet is used. Kyrgyz is considered to be the state language, with two major dialects - northern, used in the Chui and Issyk Kul valleys of Kyrgyzstan, and the capital, southern, used by the Kyrgyz and Fergana valley. Fergana valley is influenced by the big community of Uzbeks i in the southern regions of the Republic. Russian is used as intercultural communication, business and commerce.
