Tour 5: Immerse in Ancient History

Day 1: Ashgabat - Darwaza
The guide will pick up and transfer Old Nisa or the Sanctuary of Parhian Kings for sightseeing. This attraction is added to UNESCO World Heritage site. Then you will travel to such encedible sights as "Gypjak" Mosque and Mausoleum of the late President of Turkmenistan. Your road will goes through the Karakum desert to explore the highlighted part of the tour is Darawaza gas crater. You will enjoy stunning view of the burning carter at daytime and evening. Furthermore you will be able to listen to the wind and the sound that this giant oven creates. Dinner is in a picnic style. Night is in a tent.

Day 2: Darwaza - Ashgabat
In the morning you will return to Ashgabat to have a city tour. You will explore incredible sites like Ertugrul Gazi Mosque, Lenin monument and of course you will visit Russian Bazaar. Ertugrul Gazi Mosque is considered to be one of the most beautiful and interesting place in Turkmenistan. This mosque is huge in spite the fact that was built in 1990 in the center of the city, it can accommodate up to 5 000 people at once. It was made in ancient Islamic-Byzantine style. And then is the last monument of Lenin in Turkmenistan. He was the leader of the world proletariat. In the Russian Bazaar you will enjoy the atmosphere and lifestyle of the local people. Moreover it will be possible to tkae lot of colorful photos and try to bargain. Dinner is at the restaurant. Night is in a hotel.
Day 3: Ashgabat - Мary/Merv
In the morning you will travel to Maty city. On the way you will have a stop to explore the ruins of Seyit Jamal-ad-Din Mosque of 15th century at Annau. Then you will drive to Abiward or Abi-ward where the ancient Sassanid city was. You can find it about 8 km west of the Kahka station on the territory of 12,000 m2 and the central tell is 60 feet high and 700 feet round. After visiting it you will continue tour drive to Mary city. In Merv you will be able to see many historical sites. The reason for it is the great influence for development of the Great Silk Road at that time. Here you can explore mausoleums of Sultan Sanjar and Muhammed ibn-Zeyd it shows incredible masterwork of 12th century. Night is in a hotel.
Day 4: Мary - Ashgabat
Today you will travel back to Ashgabat city. It is not very old city but it was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's highest concentration of white marble buildings in the world in 2013. The city was founded in 1881. Here you will have a lunch at the local restaurant and after check in you will have city tour to explore other interesting facts and monuments of the city. Night is in the hotel.

Day 5: Flight
Night transfer to the airport.
